About the Role:
Jackson Hewitt is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Seasonal Full-Time Tax Preparer to join our team in Tomball, and Spring, TX! Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file accurate federal and state income tax returns for individual clients
• Interview clients to gather necessary financial and personal information for tax preparation
• Identify eligible tax credits and deductions to maximize client refunds
• Review and verify tax documents including W-2s, 1099s, and other financial records
• Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and Jackson Hewitt quality standards
• Provide exceptional customer service and build lasting client relationships
• Maintain client confidentiality and handle sensitive financial data with discretion

Requirements:

• Prior tax preparation experience preferred; entry-level candidates with strong math skills welcome
• Completion of Jackson Hewitt Tax Knowledge Assessment or willingness to complete training
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial calculations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client-facing interactions
• Ability to work full-time hours during the tax season (January – April)
• Proficiency with tax software and basic computer skills
• PTIN (Preparer Tax Identification Number) or ability to obtain one prior to start
